Anne Sophie Hoffmann Voice
Anne-Sophie has been singing since the age of 11 and, by the time she was 15, she knew for certain singing would be the passion to which she would devote herself. She finished her studies in literature, theatre and music in Paris and, at the age of 17, decided to move to Montreal where she enrolled at the Prochant singing school. In 2005, she completed her first demo, a collection of songs about her taste for travel, her fondness for Quebec and the sense of nostalgia she held for her homeland. Anne-Sophie interpreted this “Envie de loin” many times at such venues as Place des Arts and the Petit Medley.
In 2009, she joined Cavalia, providing her with the opportunity to do what she loves, sing and see the world! When she joined the show, she immersed herself in the songs and music in order to truly grasp their essence. “Cavalia is an extremely poetic show where the action on the stage provokes a wide range of emotions in the audience. I could never sing in a linear, emotionless way. So this is really a wonderful chance for me to communicate everything I feel in these compositions.”
