Samuel discovered his love for horses the very first time he attended “Cheval Passion” in Avignon, in the south of France. A few days later, his inspiration led him to an equestrian centre where he signed up for classical riding classes. At 14, he interned at the Delgado breeding farm, where he would later work. He took part in riding shows in Europe, before accepting an invitation from Cavalia in 2006.

Upon his arrival, Samuel began looking after six of the show’s horses and started performing in the trick riding act. He also trained for “Bareback Riding” and “Roman Riding”. When the show travels between cities, Samuel takes the opportunity to perfect his technique with Eric Gauthier in France. “The training is certainly demanding but, for me, the hardest part was being so far away from my horses and my family.”
