DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Technical Director, the Video Operator carries out his duties during the
set-up, tear down operations and video equipment maintenance. He also operates the equipment
during the show. The candidate must be available to work different shifts

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate all video equipment during the show, rehearsals and TV shows;
  • Program all computer video equipment and projections according to the show cues;
  • Develop procedures to update, maintain and inspect all video equipment;
  • Ensure the maintenance and the warehousing of all necessary special effects materials;
  • In charge of all video and special effects operations;
  • Install and make sure the equipment is working well;
  • Update all necessary documentation;
  • In charge of the set-up and tear down of all video equipment in between cities;
  • Ensure safe installations at all time;
  • Supervise fly-ins during the set-up and tear down.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 -3 years experience as a video operator for artistic productions;
  • Excellent knowledge of video (wiring and multi-image projections), electrical systems; and computer operations on theatrical productions;
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows XP and network management of remote computer;
  • Experience with Trax and Watchout by Datathon;
  • Bilingual ( English and French);
  • Available to work full time on tour and authorized to work in foreign countries

SALARY

To be discussed according to experience.
Tour conditions include transportation, lodging, per diem and meals.
